Common Questions

If there’s a question we haven’t answered, please call us at 212-472-4772 and we’ll be happy to do so.

Q. Do you accept my insurance for massage?

A. Massage therapy performed by a massage therapist is not covered by insurance in NYS. Our massage therapy services are generally reimbursable by your Flexible Spending Account (FSA). You can use your FSA/HSA card at checkout.

Q. What kind of massage do I need?

A. All of our massage sessions are therapeutic in nature and each treatment is customized and addresses your specific condition. If you are not sure what you need, call us at 212-472-4772 and we can discuss or choose therapeutic if you are booking online.

Q. How much is a massage?

A. We offer massage therapy sessions for $130-$140 for 60 minutes and $195-$210 for 90 minutes. Packages are available offering you savings. In addition, if you "Like" our Facebook page, you will be the first to hear about any specials we are running.

Q. Do I need a prescription from my doctor?

A. You do not need a prescription for massage therapy, although we always encourage you to let your doctor know that you are coming in for massage.

Q. How far in advance should I book my appointment?

A. Call us today. We can often get you in for an appointment the same day or soon thereafter. We are available 7 days per week for your convenience.

Q. When is the best time during my pregnancy to receive a massage?

A. It’s safe to receive a massage anytime during your pregnancy. Our unique custom tables are adjustable and can accommodate your growing belly throughout your pregnancy. The benefits of massage during pregnancy are many including relief of muscle aches and joint pains, swelling, improved sleep, improved labor outcomes and newborn health.

Q. Can I come in after I have my baby?

A. The time following the birth of your baby is an important time for massage too. A postnatal massage provides much needed physical relief from the stress of labor and caring for a newborn. It also increases circulation, helps eliminate toxins and assists in the body's natural recovery process. If you've had a c-section we recommend waiting 6 weeks after delivery.

Q. Can my husband receive a massage?

A. Yes, of course, we treat everybody! Although we're known for specializing in prenatal massage, we offer a variety of therapeutic massage therapies customized to an individual's specific needs.

Q. I like a really deep massage - do you have a male therapist?

A. Although there is a perception that men give deeper massages, our female therapists are trained to work deeply. Please give the therapist feedback during your massage and remember, massage does not have to hurt to be effective.

Q. Will you come to my home?

A. Yes, we'd love to. You can enjoy a prenatal/postnatal, therapeutic or relaxation massage in the comfort of your home with our in-home massage service. Packages are available. Prenatal/postnatal massages include the use of our customized prenatal table.
